DAY 2 – GANGTOK ENCHANTING TSONGMO LAKE AND NEW BABA MANDIR Breakfast at the hotel and full day excursion to Tsomgo Lake which is 35 Kms from Gangtok at an altitude of 12,400 feet. The lake derives its waters from melting snow off the surrounding mountains. Legends say that lamas could forecast the future by studying the colour of the lake’s waters. Also visit New Baba Mandir. Pelling is famous for its magnificent view of the snow-capped mountains of Kanchenjunga. Placid Pelling pulls most of the visitors for its representative status in history, nature and culture of the state. On the way visit NAMCHI CHARDHAM & Ravangla Buddha Park. On arrival Check into the Hotel.

After Breakfast embark on a sightseeing tour of Pelling covering - Pemayangtse Monastery, Rabdentse Ruins, Kanchenjunga Falls, Rimbi Waterfall, Khecheopalri Lake, Orange Garden, Rabdentse Ruins, Sky walk. CHENREZIG STATUE. OVERNIGHT AT PELLING.

Breakfast at the hotel later proceed for DARJEELING. OVERNIGHT AT DARJEELING.

Early morning visit Tiger Hill to see a beautiful sunrise and Himalayan Range like Kanchandzonga, Mount Everest etc. One can see the horizon changing colors just before sunrise and then the entire Himalayan range turns golden. It is truly a majestic sight and Ghoom Monastery which is the oldest Monastery in the area which was built in 1875 and one can see the image of Mythey Buddha 15ft. height on the way back from Kanchendzonga View Point. Then visit Batasia Loop and transfer to the hotel. Breakfast at the hotel and proceed for a city tour visiting Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursday) which was started by Tenzing Norgay after he climbed Mt. verest, Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park (closed on Thursday), Tibetan Refugee Centre (closed on Sunday), Tenzing Rock / Gombu Rock, Tea Estate (from outside), Japanese Peace Pagoda. On arrival check into your hotels. Note: Tiger hill pass / coupons subject to availability & it’s free of cost – It will be restricted to not more than 600 cab / day – Based on coupons given by Sadar traffic office only a day in advance. OVERNIGHT AT DARJEELING.

After breakfast, starts journey towards Bagdogra / NJP Railway Station in time for flight/train to onward destination. ON THE WAY VISIT Mirik Lake which is 50 km from Darjeeling. Mirik Lake is one the destinations where the town is centered by man-made Sumedu Lake, Simana View Point, Lepchajagat and Tea Estates. The walkon the 3.5 Km long promenade around the lake is fascination one. The 80ft long arch-type bridge across the lake is a beautiful place to explore the lake. The drive of 3-4 hrs from Darjeeling to Mirik Lake will be a wonderful adventure as it passes through the pine trees forest through its half of the journey and the remaining journey will be landscape by Tea Garden Estate. Guests can shop at Pashupati Market (Indo-Nepal Border). (NOTE : VIA MIRIK IS SUBJECT TO TRAIN / FLIGHTS TIMING)
